Terms of Service
Effective July 7, 2026 · CertRent is operated by InspireBlooms Inc. (New York)
These terms govern your use of CertRent, a service of InspireBlooms Inc. ("CertRent," "we," "us"). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy.
1. What CertRent is
CertRent helps renters assemble a verified profile — identity, bank-confirmed rent history and income, and checkable landlord references — and share it with landlords. It helps landlords view profiles that renters share, create New York leases with the required riders, and sign them electronically. CertRent is not a credit repair organization, is not a background-check or tenant-screening company, and does not provide legal, financial, or tax advice.
2. Eligibility & your account
You must be at least 18 and provide accurate information. You are responsible for your account and for keeping your login secure.
3. Renters
- You control your profile and decide which landlords can view it. You may revoke access at any time.
- You agree to add only your own information and to authorize the verifications you start.
- Building a profile is free. CertRent does not guarantee that any landlord will accept it or that you will be approved for any apartment.
4. Landlords
- Use information a renter shares only for a lawful, legitimate rental purpose, and in full compliance with fair-housing and anti-discrimination laws and all applicable New York rental laws (including application-fee limits and the tenant-screening restrictions of RPL §227-f).
- CertRent shows verified summaries a renter chose to share; it does not make rental decisions for you, and a shared profile does not obligate you to rent to anyone.
- Lease templates and tools are provided as a convenience and are not legal advice; you are responsible for the terms you choose and should consult an attorney where appropriate.
5. Electronic signatures (ESIGN / UETA consent)
By using CertRent's signing features you consent to do business electronically and to sign documents with an electronic signature, which has the same legal effect as a handwritten signature under the federal ESIGN Act and New York's Electronic Signatures and Records Act. You can request a copy of any document you sign. Signing is handled by our provider SignWell.
6. Acceptable use
Don't misuse the service: no fraud, no uploading someone else's information without authorization, no unlawful discrimination, no attempts to break security, and no scraping or reselling data.
7. Disclaimers
The service and all templates and guides are provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. Educational content on this site is general information, not legal advice, and laws change. Verification results depend on third-party providers and public records and may contain errors; if you believe a result is wrong, contact us to correct it.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, CertRent and InspireBlooms Inc. are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any rental decision made by you or a landlord. Nothing limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
9. Changes & termination
We may update these terms; material changes update the effective date above. You may stop using CertRent and delete your account at any time; we may suspend accounts that violate these terms.
